Method
- 1
Finely grate the jalapeño jack cheese with a microplane or small-hole box grater so it blends effortlessly into a smooth emulsion (2 minutes).
- 2
Place the sour cream, Greek yogurt, grated jalapeño jack cheese, minced garlic, salt, and black pepper into the cup of a high-speed blender or small food processor (1 minute).
- 3
Blend on medium-high speed while slowly streaming in the avocado oil, processing until the crema is completely uniform, glossy, and emulsified (1 to 2 minutes).
- 4
Scrape down the sides, taste to check seasoning, and spoon into a shallow serving bowl to enjoy immediately (1 minute).
Keep leftover crema stored in an airtight glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. If the dip firms up after chilling, vigorously whisk in a teaspoon of warm water to restore its silky drizzle.
